The political transition in Bulgaria has caused social, economic, and demographic changes that ruin the ties of trust in the community. Lack of trust deprives people living in it of the support they need to develop. This process, called anomie, leads to an escalation of aggression among people and their isolation.
The aim of the conference is to present emerged and emerging models that reinstate the capacity of the community to offer an environment for the development of children and families.
We invite both NGOs that are active and invest in community development, as well as representatives of the government, local government, the school community and social services to participate in the conference.
Conducting the conference will help to gather experience and knowledge and provoke a discussion that reflects the challenges and opportunities for community development through new models and approaches to social work.
