These are simple tips and tricks to reduce stress in parenting from the researchers and NHS (The National Health Service) - Mental health experts that specific dealing with the family issue scientifically. 

There are two main parts of the video guideline, first mentions help with difficult behaviour and the last is help with negative emotion.

1. Help with difficult behaviour has 8 tips determined by  Professor Edmund Sonuga-Barke and the POP-UP team:

  • Tip 1: Keeping positive and motivated.
  • Tip 2: Making sure everyone knows what’s expected of them.
  • Tip 3: Building your child’s self-confidence and trust in you. 
  • Tip 4: Getting your child to follow instructions. Discover the keys to helping them listen and understand.
  • Tip 5: Promoting good behaviour. Being smart for using rewards can enhance children in better behaviour.
  • Tip 6: How to limit conflict. By using simple and common-sense strategies. When families are living under pressure it’s easy for this to affect everyone’s behaviour– frustrated and/or worried children are more likely to react negatively when things don’t go their way.
  • Tip 7: Keeping calm when your kids act up.
  • Tip 8: Using sanctions carefully. Use sanctions as a last resort to encourage children to follow rules. Meanwhile, roper use of rewards can encourage children to follow agreed house rules.

2. Help with negative emotion has 4 tips determined by Professor Andrea Danese and colleagues at the Maudsley CAMHS Trauma, Anxiety and Depression Clinic:

  • Tip 9: How to communicate better with your child.
  • Tip 10: Helping your child cope with anxiety.
  • Tip 11: Helping your child manage negative feelings.
  • Tip 12: How to boost positive emotions.
