The partners of zefiR project invite you to watch the documentary "The Wind of Change Begins in the South" (ro. Vântul schimbării a-nceput din su) which presents a Romanian reality with the challenges of small entrepreneurs from vulnerable Roma communities and the momentum of change for the good that their successes produce. The 6 entrepreneurs presented in the documentary managed to build a better living for them and their families, with the opportunities and the necessary support, provided by the project.

The zefiR project started in 2013 and aimed to reduce the living disparities between Roma communities and the rural majority population by increasing access to education, health and community development. Thus, in 12 communities in the counties of Olt, Dolj and Gorj were formed initiative groups that worked on their own community projects, school after school activities started and medical-social centers were opened.
Because poverty is one of the main problems in these communities, in 2016 the start of an economic development component that supported either existing entrepreneurs or those with the potential to become entrepreneurs, to develop their business in the field of tinkering, construction, agriculture and animal husbandry.
These people are true pioneers in their communities, facing all the risks involved in starting a small business, but their success is the next generation, inspiring others creating stronger communities, a richer South, and a better Romania.
The entrepreneurial families were supported by the zefiR project by Terre des hommes Romania, PACT Foundation and NESsT Romania Foundation.
