27 professionals, representatives from Civil Society Organisations, childcare practitioners and child-protection workers working with children in the cities of Tirana, Elbasan, Fier, Lushnje, Vlorë, Lezha and Kukës, as well as representatives from the State Agency on the Rights and Protection of the Child, participated in a training on ‘Supporting Child Participation’ in protection work.
The highlight of this training was applying the lessons from the Child Protection Hub for South-East Europe’s online platform‘s e-course to a one day, face-to-face workshop/training. Participants were invited to provide feedback in the Forum section of the online platform, to share and debate with other colleagues at the local and regional level.
At the end of the event, evaluations were very positive and trainees expressed their appreciation of this new methodology.
This event was organised in the framework of ‘Child Protection Hub for South-East Europe’ and ‘Strengthening Civil Society to Prevent and Protect Children from Abuse and Violence in Albania’, a project financed by the European Union in Albania in collaboration between Terre des hommes Foundation Mission in Albania, and Albanian National Training and Technical Assistance Resource Center (ANTTARC), who are implementing partners in the project.
