A new initiative, ‘Friendly Wi-Fi’, was launched by UNICEF Albania and the Municipality of Tirana. “Friendly Wi-Fi” is a certification service for public Wi-Fi that marks services that meet minimum filtering standards – particularly in areas where children are present  – with a symbol to ensure that the Wi-Fi users’ experience is safe.

UNICEF Albania, with support from the Global Partnership to End Violence against Children, will continue expanding the “Friendly Wi-Fi” concept across the country, and actively engage children and adolescents as change makers.
