START ACADEMY SOFIA is a non-governmental organization aimed at developing the knowledge, skills and attitudes of disadvantaged students and young people from marginalized groups, especially those who have  or are at risk of dropping out of school. START Academy believes that ‘all children can and deserve to have a successful start in life’. Therefore, the theme of this year's Summer START Academy, held between 8 July and 2 August, was ‘Entrepreneurs’. Children received classes in maths, the Bulgariarn language, and skill development, along with career guidance. They heard from inspirational speakers who started their own businesses or initiatives to help others, for self-development or profit, and who shared their individual understanding of entrepreneurship.
