László Székely, the ombudsman for fundamental rights in Hungary recommended closing the special needs homes and schools in a north-eastern Hungarian village Tornanádaska, unless those can be immediately repaired. This comes after the inspection that revealed poor living conditions in those facilities and isolation of the children with disabilities. To address this issue, the Ombudsman recommended placing children in foster homes or immediately repairing the those facilities.
