Nowadays we hear more and more about domestic violence, and this is necessary because many victims are afraid or unable to seek help because of their young age.

On the International Non-Violence Day (2nd of October) a new app was launched in Hungary, named Kapcsolj egyből! (Switch immediately!)

The purpose of the application is to provide easy access to specialized services in crisis situations. The app is also a source of information.

The developer is the Family-Friendly National Nonprofit Public Limited Company (Családbarát Országos Nonprofit Közhasznú Kft.). The app is easy to use, so that young people can easily request help with it in case of emergency. It introduces the types of abuse and can be used to call the National Crisis Management and Information Telephone Service (Országos Kríziskezelő és Információs Telefonszolgálat), where help is available 24 hours a day.
