A progressive decision has been made by the Child Welfare Office in the case of two families represented by TASZ, subsequently allowing children to return to their families.
In the case of the first family, from Lyukóvölgy, the Office stressed that there has never been any complaint about the cooperation of the parents or the adult child that takes care of her siblings while her parents are working. The Office emphasized that a degree of vulnerability does not warrant the children's separation from their parents, as a child's removal from their family is only acceptable in cases of serious endangerment.
In the case of the other family, TASZ successfully mediated between the family and the Child Welfare Office, which accepted the argument that despite uncontested difficulties like poverty, school absenteeism and missed examinations, a newborn is better off with its family than in the foster care system.
