dr. Szilvi Gyurkó, founder of Hintalovon Foundation wrote an article of a positive story, when the system worked. A social worker approached them, asking for help: she was informed that one of the boys in the school has been victim of long-standing sexual abuse. When the social worker was able to speak to the boy, he asked her not to tell anyone. The Foundation suggested they speak more and that the social worker try and convince the boy that it would be better if they reported it. This she succeeded in doing and the process started. Fortunately all actors, including police, prosecution and the judge were child-friendly and they managed to do the whole process from four hearings of the child, which in Hungary is considered very few.
