‘Moldpres News Agency’ reports that from 1 January 2020, the Republic of Moldova will be part of the United Nations Children's Fund - UNICEF Executive Board. The decision was made at a meeting of the United Nations Economic and Social Council.

The Permanent Representation of Moldova to the UN (New York), will participate in the meetings of the UNICEF Executive Board. 

UNICEF is mandated by the United Nations General Assembly to promote the protection of children's rights, to help meet their basic needs and to increase children's ability to make the most of their potential.
