World Bulletin reports on the recently-opened Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Center in Fatih in Istanbul to help children affected by the Syrian conflict receive psychological support. According to UNICEF, there are nearly 2 million children, out of 5.5 million total affected by the conflict, who are in need of support. With support of the London-based organization Muntada Aid and the Alliance of International Doctors, the center provides art therapy and individual psychotherapy to children ages 6 through 12. The center aims to help 60 children every six months, but currently has insufficient resources. The article describes the healing processes experienced by several individual children as an example of the center's work.
