On May 15th, 2019, the 7th session of the Council for the Rights of the Child was held.

The session was attended by the Serbia local coordinator of the ChildHub project. Following the adoption of the minutes of the previous session, the members of the Council were introduced to the Annual Report on the Implementation of the Action Plan for Chapter 23 in the field of child rights. Vladimir Vukićević, from the Ministry of Justice, addressed these requests.

Dragan Vulević, special adviser to the Minister of Labor, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs, then introduced the Council with the amendments to the Family Law in the field of child rights.

Members of the Council were also given the recommendations received from the session of the representatives of the pupils' parliaments. This was done by Iva Eraković from the organization "Friends of children of Serbia".

On the activities of various departments in achieving the measures envisaged in the operational conclusions from the seminars on the social inclusion of Roma in the field of protection of Roma children, the Council was informed by Nenad Ivanisevic, Advisor to the Deputy Prime Minister and Deputy Chairman of the Coordination Body.

The last item on the agenda of the Council for the Rights of the Child was the presentation of the ChilHub project that is being implemented in South East Europe, as well as the presentation of the publication "The Legal-social position and vulnerability of readmitted families and children who live in informal settlements in Belgrade". The results of the research conducted by the Center for Youth Integration through the financial support of the Federal German Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), the program "Return to New Opportunities" conducted by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), was presented by the Professor Aleksandar Jugović.

We hope that the presentation of our work and the ChildHub platform at this meeting will contribute to greater visibility and importance in both Serbia and the region.
