This trainer’s handbook is a technical tool kit which can be used to implement a non-formal educational programme of life skills for unaccompanied and separated unaccompanied and separated adolescent boys (10 to 19 years old) and young men (15 to 24 years old). Drawing its content largely from noncopyrighted material of other intergovernmental sources, it has been made freely available to national and international partners including youth organisations. It is intended for all those in the mixed migration setting providing health, education, legal and social services to vulnerable unaccompanied minors and other young men who may be at risk.
The toolkit provides potentially life-saving information and build competencies in boys and young men experiencing changing and challenging circumstances. It is delivered over ten sessions that each address various issues that they face during their migration journeys, including topics such as sexuality education, money, emotions and managing healthy relationships.
