First Newsletter

Protection of children’s welfare is the duty of Kosovo society. Mandated institutions and civil society play a key role in protecting children and in addressing violations of children’s rights. Non-governmental organizations working in the field of child protection in Kosovo, for the purpose of coordinating their efforts in protecting children, have undertaken to create the “Coalition of NGOs for Child Protection” (KOMF). Under the impulse of the “project Mario”:http://marioproject.org/, KOMF brings the values of each NGO together to advocate on child protection and child rights. The Coalition of NGOs for Child Protection is now a joint and powerful voice of non-governmental organizations on issues of child protection and advancement of children’s rights in Kosovo. This newsletter constitutes the first communication on the achievements of the coalition, which will be followed by many others.
