Supporting users in the online world

Being Internet literal is essential to benefit from numerous opportunities available online, to be part of big networks and exchange experience and expertise, learn and develop. A big part of being ‘Internet literal’ is to know how to protect yourself and use internet responsibly. This is a second version of the Internet Literacy Handbook produced by Council of Europe, to help in navigating the online world, providing useful material and resources that can also be used in classroom and training for all age groups. The Handbook is written in an easy language and does not represent a final document, but rather an ever-evolving material to be constantly updated.  It contains a set of factsheets that provide overview of the current state of art in relation to each section, and then go to explore further the topics discussed, including ideas, tips and advice for readers how each platform or service mentioned can be used for education purposes. The final sections provide ideas how to use the materials in the classroom situation, good practices and links to useful materials.
