A global challenge

It has been two decades since the international community began to wake up to the issue of internal displacement. Following the end of the cold war with the breakdown of borders, power struggles and civil wars, the number of “visible” internally displaced persons grew. Although not a new phenomena, (…) could no longer be ignored by the international community. However, despite the visibility of such internal displacement crises, responses remain under-funded and over-neglected.
