The Child Protection Minimum Standards Task Force, together with the International Bureau for Child Rights, hosted a webinar on June 30, 2015 introducing Standard 14: Justice for Children in Humanitarian Action. The recording was hosted on the CPWG YouTube channel. The webinar covered key terms, international laws that apply to justice for children, roles and responsibilities of the government, and more.

The webinar is aimed towards those working on justice for children, and for child protection and emergency workers, who see justice issues surfacing, and need to know the basic of the standard.

Speakers included Frances Sheahan, Global Legal Expert on children in conflict with the law who has worked in many fragile states, Martin Nagler, Project Manager with the International Bureau for Children’s Rights (IBCR) who is leading the inter-agency review of Standard 14. Also present was Kristen Hope, the Tdh MENA Regional Child Protection Coordinator, who discussed informal justice in humanitarian settings.
